Assassin’s Creed Origins Getting 60FPS Update

2 min read

2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins is going to be getting a new performance boost in time for its debut on Xbox Game Pass this week, as the game is going to be getting an update to add 60fps.

The news came from the Ubisoft Twitter, saying:

You’ve been waiting, and now the winds of Egypt are calling….

The game is going to be releasing on Game Pass on June 1st as Ubisoft and Microsoft continue to work together and add more games to the subscription service. We knew this update would be coming and now we have the official release date.

Assassin’s Creed Origins first came out in 2017 and saw the series get a big revamp, moving into a huge open-world design and going back to explore the beginnings of the Assassin Order. It was followed by Odyssey and Valhalla, all of which have been met with mostly positive reception.

There has been no announcement on if a new game in the series will be releasing this year, though there are rumors of a smaller, standalone game based off of Basim, a character from Valhalla, releasing in 2022 or 2023. There are also rumblings of Ubisoft working on an even bigger game called Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
