Battlefield V Will Not Continue with New Content

If you were a big fan of Battlefield V and it’s continuous supply of content, then we have some bad news for you. An official statement from DICE confirms that the big content drop in June is the last that we’ll be seeing from Battlefield V.

However, if you’re hoping that it’s gonna be a massive update like Into the Jungle then there’s some more bad news. The Summer update will include some new maps, weapons and missions but won’t be the same size.

There’s still plans to keep the game healthy and ensure that players still enjoy the experience.

This also makes Battlefield V one of the least consistent games in the Battlefield lineup. As the game didn’t even make it two years before DICE and EA announced the brakes on the content updates.

Why did this happen?

So what exactly happened? Well, certainly some YouTubers and content creators will have some ideas and theories. Honestly, when it comes down to it, the game probably just was not making enough money for EA to keep it alive.

Battlefield V consistently reported lower numbers than both Battlefield 1 (it’s predecessor) and Battlefield 4. The latter of which came out more than 5 years ago, yet it still had higher concentrations of players.

Ultimately until EA makes an official statement on why the game is being set aside, we just have to speculate. Hopefully the next two updates relay enough content to give fans some good times before the next entry.

What do you think of the decision made by DICE and EA? Do you understand why it was made or are you upset? Be sure to let us know in the comments below and follow us here at Scoophash for more updates as they come out!
