Bungie is taking their fight against toxicity in their player-base to the next level as they are reportedly suing a known toxic player of Destiny 2 for financial damages as well as urging for protective measures to be taken for the well-being of their employees.

The toxic player in question is Luca Leone, who, according to the suit that has been filed with the U.S. Western District Court of Washington, has violated the game’s Limited Software License Agreement numerous times, been banned for streaming Destiny 2 while using cheat software, has sold emblems from the game through stolen accounts, and has even threatened the well-being of the game’s community manager.

This threat came from a Twitter account that has since been linked to Leone sending out a picture of the community manager, dmg04’s, employee badge. This was then followed by a comment saying, “i just realized i’ll be moving to a place that’s 30 minutes away from dmg. he is not safe.”

Separate from this, the account has also threatened to set fire to the company’s HQ, along with urging them to lock their doors. Since the announcement of the suit, these tweets have been deleted and Leone has not commented on the situation himself.

The suit is asking for $150,000 in damages and asking the court to stop Leone from “harassing, stalking, or otherwise engaging in unwanted or unsolicited contact with Bungie, its employees, or Destiny 2 players.”

A steep price to pay for being an idiot, and we can get behind it.
