DESTINY 2 Update – Things are Changing for Guardians

In a season that has received no shortage of controversy and backlash, some major story updates were needed to get fans excited. Luckily, it seems that something big is definitely coming.
Inside of the various Seraph Bunkers, players noticed that there were some strange symbols dotting the interiors. And at this last reset we got a rather unsettling realization from Rasputin as he revealed his efforts against the Darkness.
Begs the question, what exactly are we going to do against ships that literally make Saturn look like a moon? This is a continuation of a story that was set up and executed over the course of 6 long years. From Destiny 1 to now, the Darkness and the creatures that embody it have been teased and speculated on.
It would seem that the Almighty is no longer a top priority. But, what exactly is Rasputin counting down to? Well, revealed in the new cutscene, Rasputin dictates to Zavala how he lived through one collapse. And he believes that another one is coming, via the Pyramid ships.
A darker story than we anticipated
Rather grim news it would seem. Especially when you consider that Bungie teased that something was going to happen over the Summer. Something big that Destiny players would never see coming. And that would change things in a way that we’ve never seen before.
Could it be that we’re about to get a serious consequence to our efforts against the darkness? Are they finally going to coalesce the Drifter storyline into the ongoing fights? Is Uldren coming back finally? Theories are endless, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
Players certainly needed an update like this, as Season of the Worthy has been met with less than stellar reviews. A lack of meaningful PvE and lackluster PvP content have certainly not helped things. Hopefully, this summer sees some major changes.
