Latest Windows 10 Update Could Bust Up Users’ VPNs

The updated version of Windows 10, which was released in May 2019 has a glitch as announced by Microsoft, which could create an obstacle in the operation of virtual private networks (VPNs), per Digital Trends.

This problem will impact the Remote Access Connection Manager service, which is used by Windows to manage connections to a VPN.

Remote Access Connection Manager needs to keep running out of sight for VPNs to work, or for VPN clients who are connected with the web by means of dial-up.

Thousands of people in the world are getting affected by the bug, and it is impacting the latest version of Window 10, KB4501375 (OS Build 18362.207), which was released on June 27.

Microsoft says on its updated support page, “This issue only occurs when a VPN profile is configured as an Always On VPN (AOVPN) connection with or without device tunnel. This does not affect manual only VPN profiles or connections.”
