That Destiny 2 puzzle came from the moon
About two years ago there was an expansion released for Destiny 2 called Warmind. With it came an elaborate ARG that had players deciphering different symbols, receiving keys and a real world location. While the puzzle was ‘technically solved’ a while ago, the last step was just figured out.
Destiny 2’s puzzle had people literally scouring the globe, the game and other sources for clues.
The first two ciphers were solved relatively quickly, with players all over the r/raidsecrets subreddit going crazy. After they were figured out, one final puzzle remained: ‘the world – MECHANIZED’. This step was eventually brute forced and the location was found, but the puzzle remained unsolved.
Earlier this week we finally got an update on one of the most elaborate puzzles ever seen.
As you can see, this final clue was in plain sight all along. Or rather it was in plain sights… Huh? No? Okay.
With the assistance of another Destiny player, Javano has effectively solved one of the longest running mysteries. While the loot may have already been found and taken, this must have felt hugely satisfying to the players.
